Edinburgh Capitals press release
We set out a seasons goal to make the play-offs and put together a younger team with some experienced players. The challenge was never going to be easy, but we are 3 points ahead and 2 games in hand, and we still have a great chance to reach that goal.
Everybody involved in the Capitals still believe we can succeed. The management are 100% behind Richard Hartmann and the players. We understand that these last five weeks are a great sporting challenge but we expect the team to rise to that just like they did after a difficult start to the season.
We are working to support the team for this season and for next. We have already made two big steps towards 2012/13 and Richard Hartmann is planning to stay over the summer to help with the development of British players and off-ice summer training. He is committed to developing talent for the Edinburgh Capitals.
Positivity breeds positive players. As a club we need to support Richard and the players in this important stretch of the season. We have Braehead on Saturday at home and our last magnificent win against them was after a heavy defeat the night before. Our guys can rise to the challenge.
All your support is greatly appreciated.
